‘Cascade Emerald’ is a superb Acer, that is much adored for its finely cut, fresh green foliage. Later transforming from a rich pink to an orange-red, its bushy, cascading growing habit will make a wonderful focal point wherever placed. Ideal for growing in patio pots, woodland and low maintenance themed gardens, keep positioned in dappled shade, where it will thrive to a height of 3m, along with a spread of 2.5m. Palmate leaves emerge coppery-pink in spring on orange/red stems. The foliage matures to fresh green in summer and finishes the season with fiery shades of red and orange in autumn before falling. Grow Acers in any moist, fertile, well drained soil in sun or dappled shade. It’s important to give plants shelter from strong winds which can scorch the leaves.
