This is a stunning, compact, evergreen shrub with a stiffly upright habit that naturally forms a dense column. The vertical stems are covered in small, dark green leaves with margins that are distinctively toothed. Euonymus japonicus ‘Green Rocket’ is a slow growing shrub that is also easy to maintain, needing almost no maintenance once established. This is a great alternative to traditional formal evergreens such as Box as they bring year round colour and structure to the garden. Superb in borders or containers, and can survive well in more tricky areas such as coastal locations. Height: 1m (39″). Spread: 50cm (19″).
Euonymus plants are versatile, thriving in any soil from light and sandy to heavy clay provided that it is moist and well drained. Euonymus will grow happily in sun or semi shade; however variegation will be improved when grown in a sunny position.
