This is the most resistant variety to late blight that we have seen. A bush type and therefore very easy to grow (no side shooting), Lizzano is equally at home grown in a sunny spot in the garden or in a large container. The fruit, produced in large quantities, is large cherry sized, deep red in colour and exceptionally sweet. (Bush variety – very easy to grow as trusses do not require support and fruits without side shoots being removed.)
