This stunning Peony tree flowers from April until June. It produces large, pure white single flowers that form in cup shapes, amongst upright stems. Perfect for making cut flowers, adding to borders and scented gardening schemes, ‘Feng Dan Bai’ makes a bold statement wherever placed. It enjoys semi shade to develop and will grow in height and spread to around 150cm. Its tropical looking blooms will continue for many years and each plant will be smothered in up to over one hundred flowers! Grow tree peonies in a sunny or semi shaded position that is sheltered from cold winds and shaded from strong early morning sunlight. They prefer a well drained, rich fertile soil. This is best achieved by adding with plenty of well rotted manure or compost to the soil prior to planting, ensuring that it is mixed in thoroughly and deeply. Plant tree peonies so that the grafted union sits at least 10cm (4″) below the soil surface. Shallow planting may hinder establishment and delay flowering.
