Forms a bushy mound of evergreen purple foliage, this shrub produces raspberry-red, witch hazel-like flowers from late winter to mid-spring. They have a sweet fragrance and offer a pretty contrast to the colourful foliage.
Likes a part shady spot with protection from the winter weather.
