PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Designed by Sir William Stanier in 1937, this 4-cylinder locomotive was a powerful presence in the transportation business and a fine example of British engineering. Originally built with streamlined cladding on the first 10 locomotives, the added weight and ongoing maintenance issues caused engineers to redesign the train. Later built without the streamlining, the class became commonly known as the Duchess. Crafted into a weathervane, using robust steel, and cast iron, each aspect of the steam engine can be seen in beautiful detail. Complete with universal mounting brackets, fletched arrow and directional arms, this weathervane is a wonderful gift or accessory to train stations, steam engine enthusiasts and locomotive lovers.
