French Bolero is a modern 2 species hybrid combining H. scandens and H. macrophllya, the flowers are large, changing colour dependant on the acidity of the soil, in alkaline soil, the blooms are pink, in acid soil it will produce shades of purple and blue.

This brand new variety shares many characteristics of the award-winning Hydrangea Runaway Bride. Blooms stand along the length of each stem, creating a fantastic flower display!

A compact, spreading habit, this shrub is ideally suited to lightly shaded areas can make a decorous display as a  patio plant or in a border.

Hydrangeas prefers a position in shade or semi-shade, with shelter from cold, drying winds. Grow hydrangea plants in any rich fertile, moist soil. Improve the soil prior to planting by adding with plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost, ensuring that it is mixed in thoroughly and deeply. Alternatively, plant Hydrangea macrophylla in patio containers in ericaceous compost.
