‘Pink Spider’ is a striking Azalea, that is ready to bloom from May until June. It generates bundles of pink and white striped flowers, that cloak a compact growing habit of fresh green foliage. Ideal for planting in patio pots, woodland and tropical themed landscapes, be sure to keep positioned in semi shade, where it can flourish to a height and spread of 75cm. An extremely unusual and striking evergreen Azalea that is particularly good as a patio container specimen in a sunny, sheltered spot. Throughout May, Azalea ‘Pink Spider’ bears white flowers with narrow petals that have a bold pink stripe. Grow Azaleas in moist, well drained, acid soil that has been enriched with plenty of well rotted organic matter. Azalea ‘Pink Spider’ is best grown in a container of ericaceous compost. Choose a position in semi or dappled shade with shelter from cold drying winds. Azalea ‘Pink Spider’ requires protection in very cold winters. Avoid allowing the root ball to become frozen. Rhododendrons and Azaleas are surface rooting so it is important to avoid planting them too deeply.
