‘Double Mint’ is a superb new Gardenia, that is ready to bloom from July until October. It produces bundles of perfumed, double, rosette-forming white flowers, that elegantly decorate a bushy, rounded growing habit of fresh green foliage. A beautiful Cape Jasmine for patio containers, scented and tropical themed landscapes, keep positioned in dappled shade and watch it progress to a height and spread of 90cm. Gardenia jasminoides ‘Double Mint’ has been selected for its ability to rebloom, producing double, 2inch-wide, fragrant flowers that bloom repeatedly from mid-summer to autumn. Plant Gardenia in sheltered borders or containers in any well drained, rich fertile, neutral to acid soil. Choose a sheltered position in dappled or semi shade. Water regularly until Gardenia plants are fully established. Where possible, use rainwater as the lime contained in tap water will reduce the soils acidity over time.
