‘Night of Passion’ is a superb new Lavender, that is ready to bloom from June until October. It produces masses of chunky purple flower heads, that are each topped with delicate maroon bracts. They delicately top a clump forming habit of grey-green aromatic foliage and attract masses of pollinating insects. Ideal for growing in borders, cottage and wildlife gardening schemes, be sure to keep positioned in direct sunlight and watch it flourish to a height and spread of 40cm.
Grow French lavender plants on free draining soil in full sun. Lavenders dislike wet ground, particularly during winter. Improve heavy soil conditions by adding coarse grit or sharp sand prior to planting. When growing French lavender in large patio containers, use a well drained soil based compost such as John Innes No. 3. After planting, prune lavender plants to encourage bushy growth.
