The Merino Sheep is one of the most historic and economically influential breeds of sheep due to its woold. Known for the finest and softest wool of any sheep breed, the Merino sheep was first found Spain in the 15th Century, however it is debateable about their true origins. A domesticated breed, this type of sheep would not survive without the help of famers shearing their heavy fur once a year. If left to continue growing, the cool will cause overheating, stress, and mobility issues.
