This striking Carex produces gleaming bronze leaflets all year round and generates a quiet flurry of blooms from July until September. Its clump forming growing habit works well as a gap filler and provides essential movement and texture with its arching foliage. It would look fabulous planted in a patio pot, border, cottage, alpine or low maintenance garden. You can also incorporate this perennial into pavement crevices, to add some attractive ground cover to your outdoor space. Position in partial shade and watch it flourish to a height of 35cm, along with a spread of 60cm. Plant Carex into any moist, but well-drained soil in sun or partial shade. Brilliant for patio containers, mixed with flowering plants, use a John Innes no. 3 soil mixture.
