‘Buckingham’ is a wonderful Tayberry shrub that produces maroon coloured, long fruits from July until September. A cross between a loganberry and a raspberry, each berry measures up to 5cm in length and boasts a juicy, sweet flavour. Perfect for adding to desserts or eating fresh from the plant, this Rubus would sit well in either a kitchen garden or along a fence nicely. It bears thornless branches that make cropping easier and boasts neat mounds of fresh green foliage. Plant tayberry bushes in a sunny position in any well drained soil. Incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost into the ground prior to planting. When growing tayberry plants, support the stems on a framework of wires stretched between sturdy 1.8m (6′) posts, or trained against a trellis or wall.
