Prickly, with pretty, profuse white flowers in May and loads of red “hips”, which are ideal bird food, in autumn. Supplied height 60-90cm – in a 2 litre pot.
Grow Hawthorn hedges on reliably moist but well drained soil, incorporate planty of well rotted manure or compost along the line of the hedge before planting.
