This gladiolus is perfect for autumn planting to bring vibrant spring colour. It produces stunning magenta flowers with delicate white streaks, with up to 20 blooms per stem. Native to the Mediterranean, it will naturalize beautifully in the UK. It blooms after the spring bulbs have finished and just before the summer beds reach their full colour. Expect flowers from May to June. Height: 50-60cm Spread: 1-10cm Grow groups of gladioli in sunny, sheltered borders on well drained soil. Gladioli require excellent drainage to prevent them from rotting. Improve heavy soils by adding plenty of well rotted manure and grit prior to planting. Plant gladiolus corms at a depth of 10cm (4”) and a distance of 15cm (6”) apart.
