Big savings, big selections Magnolia ‘Antje Zandee’

‘Antje Zandee’ is a Magnolia, that blooms from April to June. It produces bundles of deep, maroon-coloured flowers, that are velvety in appearance and large in size. The perfect specimen tree for those smaller sized gardens, add some colour to your landscape this season with its fresh green foliage and popping purple flowers. Happy to progress in semi shade, this hardy tree would look stunning in a woodland or cottage themed garden and will create an attractive focal point in borders also. Watch it thrive in height and spread to 5m! This dark diva boasts opulent, deep purple, goblet-shaped blooms in spring. Plant magnolias in a sunny or semi shaded position with protection from cold winds and hard spring frosts. Magnolias prefer a rich, moist, well drained, acid to neutral soil. Incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to improve the soil prior to planting, mixing it thoroughly and deeply. Magnolia plants establish quicker when their roots are shaded. Following planting, apply a mulch of rotted bark chips, manure or garden compost, taking care not to mound it around the stem of the plant.
