Cheap and good goods Lavender ‘Sensational’Lavandula angustifolia

‘Sensational’ is a stunning Lavender, that is ready to bloom from July until September. It generates a profusion of huge, fragrant purple flowers, that are borne upon masses of silver-green compact foliage. A must have this season, be sure to incorporate into borders, patio pots and cottage themed gardens, where its show stopping blooms can create a real talking point! A magnet for pollinating insects and much loved for its vibrant colour, keep positioned in direct sunlight and watch it progress in height and spread to 60cm. Very large blooms accompanied by compact foliage make this lavender truly ‘Sensational’. Grow English lavender plants on free draining soil in full sun. Lavenders dislike wet ground, particularly during winter. Improve heavy soil conditions by adding coarse grit or sharp sand prior to planting. When growing English lavender in large patio containers, use a well drained soil based compost such as John Innes No. 3. After planting, prune lavender plants to encourage bushy growth.
