A dense evergreen shrub, Prunus Etna is a popular hedging plant that forms dense glossy foliage. Creamy white flowers are borne in spring that are a magnet for bees and butterflies and contrast well with the shiny green leaves. In autumn the flowers are followed by small glossy berries that provide a valuable food source for birds. Height 200-250cm.
Prunus laurocerasus Plant – Etna® Grow Cherry Laurel plants in sun or shade, in any moderately fertile, reliably moist, well drained soil. Prior to planting, incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost into the soil. Plant Prunus shrubs at the same depth as they were planted in their pots. Backfill the planting hole and water well to settle the soil. When planting a Cherry Laurel hedge, position the individual plants at a distance of 75cm (2’,6″) apart.
