Strawberry ‘Snow White,’ also known as Pineberry, produces high quantities of fruit with a fragrant flavour and a unique pineapple aftertaste! With their backwards look-the the same appetising heart-shaped tender fruit but with white flesh and red seeds-the fruit may cause quite a stir. Freshly picked strawberries are delicious as a snack or in pastries and cakes. Because of its dense habit and perfectly spreading stems, it’s suitable for cultivation in pots where the fruit will fall over the edges, as well as on the allotment. You can have a nice summer yield year after year thanks to this totally robust perennial. You’re definitely in for a wonderful treat if you grow this unique cultivar. Height: 40 cm (16″). Spread: 50cm (20″). Plant strawberry plants in autumn or late spring in a sheltered, sunny position in well manured, free draining soil. Plant strawberry runners every 45cm (18″) in rows spaced at 75cm (30″) apart. Spread out their roots and place them in the soil at a level where the crown of the plant is just poking above the surface. Avoid planting them too deeply as this may cause them to rot. Alternatively try growing strawberry plants in hanging baskets or in specially designed strawberry planters for the patio.
