Strawberry – Just Add Cream

Strawberry ‘Just Add Cream’ is a compact and attractive plant that produces an abundance of small but pretty pink flowers, along with up to 1kg of fruit per plant. This world exclusive variety fruits early and will keep cropping until the first hard frosts of autumn.

However, this strawberry isn’t just like any other store-bought strawberry, it has a unique flavour and aroma like no other and is a very eye-catching ornamental. It has fantastic flavour combinations, including the sweetness and character of home-grown strawberries but then you can also sense the special taste of the wild woodland or alpine strawberry. The flavour becomes stronger and more stable over the season but it will continue to look beautiful and elegant when cascading from hanging baskets or spreading around patio containers and pots. Plant strawberry plants in autumn or late spring in a sheltered, sunny position in well manured, free draining soil. Plant strawberry plants every 45cm (18”) in rows spaced at 75cm (30”) apart. Avoid planting them too deeply as this may cause them to rot. Alternatively try growing strawberry plants in hanging baskets or in specially designed strawberry planters for the patio.
