Nepeta ‘Neptune’ grows in clumps in borders and patio containers, returning year after year as a hardy perennial. Foliage has a mint fragrance, providing a bed for the spikes of purple-blue blooms shooting upright. Blooms early and grows with a bushy and compact habit, keeping neat and tidy in borders. Ideal for cottage gardens and herbaceous borders. Height and spread: 30cm (12″). This is a fantastically adaptable perennial! Nepeta ‘Neptune’ looks great in clumps in a border or as a companion plant in a container. Pot up Nepeta plants and grow them on in frost free conditions until large enough to plant outside. When all risk of frost has passed and plants are well grown, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days. Grow Catmint plants outdoors in any well drained garden soil in full sun or semi shade.
