Sarcococca hookeriana var. humilis is a gorgeous new hardy shrub, that is much loved for its glossy green foliage and dwarf growing habit. Ideal for using as attractive ground cover, enjoy witnessing its profusion of fragrant cream blooms, that will elegantly top its low growing form from November to June. Perfect for incorporating into wildlife and cottage gardening schemes, it would also work well as showy specimen shrub. Happy to develop in dappled shade, watch it thrive to a height and spread of 100cm. Grow sarcococca in any moist, well drained garden soil in a sheltered position, in semi-shade or shade. Christmas box will tolerate full sun provided that the soil remains moist. Alternatively grow sarcococca plants in patio containers using soil based compost such as John Innes No.3.
