‘Sibirica’ is a wonderful Iris, that is perfect for growing in cut flower and cottage themed landscapes. From June until August, you will witness masses of vibrant purple-gold blooms, that are borne upon slender stems, amongst a clump forming habit of green foliage. Happy to develop in semi shade, watch it thrive to a height of 90cm, along with a spread of 60cm. Iris sibirica enjoys a sunny position in well drained, neutral to slightly acid soil. These perennials prefer a free draining soil, so amend heavy clay soils with plenty of grit and well rotted manure prior to planting. When planting iris, ensure that the rhizome sits just at the soil surface as they are prone to rot if planted too deeply.
