‘Red Knight’ is a textural perennial that blooms from July until November. It produces bundles of burgundy red, pincushion flowers that sit upon slender green stems, against a backdrop of vibrant hairy leaflets. Much loved for its informal growing habit, this Knautia remains easy to care for all year round and works splendidly in a sunny border, cut flower or cottage garden. Plant in full sun, incorporated in between clumpy grasses and watch it thrive to a height of 80cm, along with a spread of 75cm. Grow Knautia in borders in full sun. Field scabious prefers a well-drained, alkaline or neutral soil and is particularly suitable for chalky garden soils.
