‘Madeline’ is a superb Salvia, that is ready to bloom from June until October. It boasts bundles of bi-coloured, white and purple flower spikes, that elegantly stand tall above a bushy growing habit of fresh green foliage. The perfect shrub for incorporating into borders, wildlife and coastal gardening schemes, it would also sit well within a tropical themed landscape with its unique blooms! Happy to develop in full sun, enjoy watching it grow to a maximum height of 70cm, along with a spread of 45cm. There’s a place for a Salvia in every garden and ‘Madeline’ is a real beauty. Bred by the celebrated garden designer, Piet Oudolf, it features spikes of eye-catching bicoloured flowers.

Your bare roots should be planted at the earliest opportunity following delivery. In cold weather, plant your salvia bare roots into pots and grow on in a cold greenhouse or sheltered, frost-free position outdoors until growth has commenced in late spring. Plants can then be set out in their final planting positions. Choose a site in full sun in moist but freely draining soil. Drought tolerant once established. Plants are hardy down to -10C but will not appreciate being wet over winter.
