The Notch bed frame by Normann Copenhagen is skilfully built from pine wood planks, perfectly demonstrating the extraordinary beauty and sturdiness of the natural material. The minimalist design and natural finish give the wooden bed frame an air of simplicity and elegance that makes it easy to blend in with any decór. What’s more, the bed frame will slowly develop a beautiful honey-coloured patina typical of pine wood.
In addition to the material, the bed frame is characterised by its special detailing at the corners, making it both structurally stable and visually interesting. This effect is achieved with the unique joining technique called notching, in which one wood plank is placed into a notch in another to create the joints. This inherently practical detail provides a fascinating decorative element that sets Notch apart from other wooden bed frames – and offered the designer Simon Legald inspiration for the name Notch!
