‘Bastardii’ is a wonderful Iris, that is perfect for growing in bogs, damp borders and water gardens. From May until July, you will witness masses of zingy yellow blooms, that are borne upon slender stems, amongst a clump forming habit of grey-green foliage. Happy to develop in semi shade, watch it thrive to a height of 120cm, along with a spread of 30cm. Iris pseudacorus plants thrive in damp, acid or neutral soil in a sunny or semi-shaded position. These moisture loving Iris require a rich, fertile soil which has had plenty of well rotted organic matter added into the soil prior to planting. Grow Iris pseudacorus in moist, boggy soils or submerged in the shallow margins of ponds with the crown to a maximum depth of up to 20cm (8″) below water level. Choose a position in sun or semi shade.
