‘Slingco 1’ is a superb new Weigela, that is ready to bloom from April until November. It generates masses of bright pink, trumpet-shaped flowers, that beautifully decorate a compact growing habit of fresh green foliage. Ideal for planting in a patio container, cottage or wildlife gardening scheme, be sure to keep positioned in partial shade, where it can progress to a height and spread of 75cm. Grow Weigela in a sunny or semi shaded position, in any well drained soil. Prior to planting, incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost into the soil. Plant Weigela at the same depth as they were planted in their pots. Backfill the planting hole and water well to settle the soil.
