‘Apache’ is a stunning Rubus that is ready to harvest from July until October. It generates masses of glossy blackberries that cloak its bushy habit of thornless stems and fresh green leaflets. Each fruit weighs up to 11g and features an intense, sweet flavour that would make tasty jams, pies and desserts. Superb for adding to wildlife and kitchen gardens, as well as growing up a wall or fence. It enjoys full sun to develop and grow in height to 2m and spread to around 2.5m. Plant blackberry bushes in a sunny position in any well drained soil. Incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost into the ground prior to planting. When growing blackberry plants, support the stems on a framework of wires stretched between sturdy 1.8m (6′) posts, or trained against a trellis or wall.
