This exciting Red-Hot Poker is a vibrant perennial that produces upright, burning orange flowers that transform to a bright yellow from July until October. They are borne upon slender green mounds of foliage and are easy to maintain and care for all year round. Perfect for making a bold impact in cottage, cut flower and coastal gardens, this Kniphofia also looks superb when incorporated into attractive borders and flowerbeds, for some extra architectural height. Plant in full sun and watch it thrive to a height of 120cm, along with a spread of 60cm. Fiery red buds open to reveal tubular orange flowers that gradually fade to a bright shade of yellow. Plant knifophia bareroots at the earliest opportunity following delivery. Grow red hot poker plants in a sunny or semi-shaded position, in any rich, fertile, well drained soil. Position the bareroot so that the crown of the plant is just a few cm below soil level. Water well to settle the soil around the roots.
