This superb Ranunculus mix is ideal for adding a sea of colour and texture into your garden this season. Producing an abundance of layered, rosette forming flowers from May until July, you can count on this colourful combination to sit well in cut flower and cottage gardening schemes, as well as in greenhouses and conservatories. Happy to progress in full sun, these striking blooms will appear in shades of red, yellow, pink and orange, standing tall above a compact growing habit of fresh green foliage. Watch them develop in height to 40cm, along with a spread of 30cm. Slowly unfurling layer upon layer of densely packed petals, Ranunculus are distinctive flowers that deliver a lavish spring display. Plant ranunculus in free draining soil in a sheltered, sunny position. Alternatively grow ranunculus tubers in containers of loam based compost mixed with plenty of horticultural grit to improve drainage. Plant the claw-like tubers at a depth of 8cm (3”) with their claws pointing downwards.
