The collection includes: English Bluebells – These hardy native bulbs feature charming, nodding violet-blue flowers that draw pollinators with their soft fragrance. Thriving in the dappled shade beneath deciduous trees, English bluebells are perfect for woodland gardens or naturalizing in informal grassy areas. Over time, they will spread and form a thick, colourful carpet. Height: 25cm (10″). Spread: 8cm (3″). Giant Snowdrop (Galanthus Elwesii) – Exceptionally hardy, this striking snowdrop boasts flowers up to 25mm long, with a subtle honey fragrance. An RHS AGM award winner, these snowdrops create a dazzling spring display in borders or containers. Height: 30cm (12″). Spread: 10cm (4″). Plant bulbs in the dappled shade of deciduous trees. The bulbs in this collection thrive in reliably moist, well drained soil that is rich in organic matter. Add plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to the soil prior to planting to improve less than ideal soils. Plant snowdrop and bluebell bulbs at a depth of 10cm (4”) and a distance of 10cm (4”) apart. Aconites should be planted at a depth of 5cm (2″) and a distance of 5cm (2″) apart. For natural looking drifts of flowers, gently cast the bulbs across the planting area and plant them where they land!
