‘Reflections’ is a stunning Clematis, that is ready to bloom from June until September. It produces an abundance of semi-double, gleaming white flowers, that each feature a striking maroon centre; contrasting wonderfully against its bushy, yet compact growing habit of fresh green foliage. Perfect for planting in patio pots and trailing along walls and up obelisks, be sure to position in semi shade so it can flourish to a height of 180cm, along with a spread of 100cm. Clematis ‘Reflections’ is a particularly pretty cultivar producing a profusion of single and semi-double, lilac-blue flowers throughout the summer. The large 15cm (6″) flowers become smaller as the summer progresses, but arguably more beautiful. When planting clematis, choose a position in sun or semi-shade and plant the climber deeply in moist, fertile, well drained soil. Position the top of the rootball at a depth of 7.5cm (3″) below soil level, to encourage new shoots to form from the base of the plant. Clematis dislike soils that are particularly wet or dry. Such soils can be improved by the addition of plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost. When growing clematis in patio containers use a soil based compost such as John Innes No.3. Train clematis plants onto a suitable support such as trellis, wires or a freestanding climbing frame.
