‘Betty Anne Voss’ is a striking Rhododendron, that blooms from April until May. It generates a profusion of double, baby pink, trumpet-shaped flowers, that smother a compact, spreading growing habit of glossy green foliage. Perfect for planting in woodland and low maintenance gardening schemes, it also looks wonderful in modern patio pots and colourful borders. Happy to grow in semi shade, watch it progress to a height of 100cm, along with a spread of 120cm. Rhododendron ‘Betty Anne Voss’ is a charming evergreen variety from the Azalea group. Throughout May, the dense, glossy foliage shows off its sugar pink, double blooms to perfection. Grow Rhododendrons in moist, well drained, acid soil that has been enriched with plenty of well rotted organic matter. Choose a position in semi or dappled shade with shelter from cold drying winds. Many dwarf Rhododendrons can cope with a sunny position provided that the soil remains reliably moist. Where soil conditions are alkaline, Rhododendron plants are best grown in patio containers, using a mix of ericaceous compost and a soil based compost such as John Innes No. 3. Rhododendrons are surface rooting so it is important to avoid planting them too deeply.
