Hebe albicans is a gorgeous hardy shrub, that is much loved for its frothy white blooms from June until August. They develop in tidy clusters and top a compact growing habit of grey-green foliage. Easy to care for and a great gap filler, work into coastal, wildlife and low maintenance themed landscapes and dot around in contemporary patio pots. Happy to grow in full sun, watch it thrive to a height of 60cm, along with a spread of 90cm. Hebe albicans is a naturally occurring species from New Zealand’s South Island. This small evergreen shrub blooms in early summer, with white flowers emerging from pink buds. Grow Hebe plants in moist, well drained, light sandy soil. Avoid planting Hebes on acid soils. Choose a position in full sun or semi shade and sheltered from strong winds.
