‘Orange Flavour’ is a stunning Tulipa, that is ready to bloom from April until June. It generates bundles of huge, peony-like flowers, that are shaded in a bold tangerine. Contrasting wonderfully against its clump forming habit of fresh green foliage, this hardy bulb will not disappoint on vibrancy, texture and drama this season. Be sure to incorporate into borders, patio pots, cut flower and cottage gardens. Happy to progress in semi shade, watch it flourish to a height of 40cm, along with a spread of 15cm. These big, peony-type blooms burst into a fiery mix of carmine red and tangerine orange that brings warm spring sunshine into the garden. Plant tulip bulbs in late summer or autumn. Tulips will grow well in any moist, well drained soil, except for particularly wet soils. Choose a sunny position that is sheltered from strong winds. When planting tulip bulbs avoid shallow planting as this may reduce the winter cold period that is essential for tulip bulbs to produce flowers in spring. Plant them at a depth of 15cm (6″) and at a distance of 13cm (5″) apart.
