‘Taupo Lights’ is a stunning Chionochloa, that is much adored for its bright green and cream variegated foliage. Each leaflet gracefully arches and develops in low forming clumps. From July until October, you will witness a profusion of silky flower plumes, that create a dazzling focal point and add texture to outdoor spaces. It would sit well in coastal, cottage and tropical themed landscapes, as well as incorporating into low maintenance gardens. Happy to develop in full sun, watch it thrive to a height of 150cm, along with a spread of 50cm. An elegant grass, rewarding with handsome variegated foliage that provides evergreen interest, plus spectacular summer/autumn flowers.
Grow in a warm, well drained position. Apply mulch around the base annually to conserve water and supress weeds. Tidy and remove dead leaves in spring. When required, lift and divide clumps in the spring.
