Miscanthus ‘Silver Cloud’ bears masses of cascading, silvery  flower plumes which add texture, movement and colour to the late summer garden. Breeding of Miscanthus has ushered in a new generation of much improved grasses. Bred for shorter growth habits, earlier flowering and richer colours, the Miscanthus Cloud series reach just 1m tall allowing gardeners to create Prairie-Style arrangements in small borders and even containers. Grow Miscanthus grass in fertile, moist, well drained soil in full sun. Miscanthus Grass may resent soils that sit wet in winter. Prior to planting, improve drainage on particularly heavy soils by incorporating plenty of well rotted compost and grit.
