‘Red Damask’ is a superb Leptospermum, that is ready to bloom from April until August. It produces bundles of double, pinky-red flowers, that cloak a bushy growing habit of narrow, deep green foliage. A magnet for pollinating insects, be sure to incorporate into wildlife, coastal and cottage themed landscapes, as well as using as an attractive shrub by a wall or fence. Happy to develop in semi shade, watch it thrive to a height and spread of 2.5m. A showy flowering shrub with evergreen foliage, repeat blooming and a bounty of nectar for bees.
A borderline hardy shrub – best grown in mild areas of the UK. Grow in a south or west-facing, warm sheltered site in full sun or partial shade, in well drained soil. Water well during establishment, plants are drought tolerant once established. Requires little pruning, just light trimming to keep in shape in after flowering.
