‘Chick Charms Grape Galaxy’ is a wonderful new Sempervivum, that is ready to bloom from May until August. It is much loved for its silver-plum fleshy leaflets, that form in a neat rosette and produce bundles of ‘babies’, perfect for growing on. Easy to care for, yet dramatic in appearance, be sure to plant in alpine and coastal gardening schemes, as well as conservatories and greenhouses. Happy to progress in direct sunlight, watch it thrive to a height of 8cm, along with a spread of 15cm. A fabulous addition to the ‘Chick Charms’ series, Sempervivum ‘Chick Charms Grape Galaxy’ features silvery-violet leaves, each tip dipped in aubergine. Houseleeks require extremely good drainage. Grow sempervivum plants in sharply drained, gritty soil in full sun. Hairy species particularly resent cold, wet conditions and are best provided with some protection from winter weather.
