This fab Picea is much loved for its dwarf growing habit. Boasting grey-green, needle like foliage, you can count on this hardy shrub to remain resilient, reliable and vibrant all year round. Ideal for adding into borders, patio pots and alpine gardens, be sure to keep positioned in direct sunlight where it can develop in height to 400cm, along with a spread of 300cm. Picea glauca ‘Sanders Blue’ is a colourful and extremely interesting dwarf spruce, with foliage ranging from steel blue to dark grey-green. It will happily spend its first few years in a pot as a Christmas tree, providing it is kept reliably watered. This evergreen tree grows at only 4 to 6 inches (12 to 15cm ) each year, and so is ideal for smaller gardens or even shrub borders. Height: 400cm (157″). Spread: 300cm (118″). Grow Picea glauca plants in moist, but well-drained, acidic soil in full sun. Choose a position that is sheltered from cold, drying winds. Alternatively grow in large containers, using ericaceous (acidic) compost.
