Autumn fruiting. This exceptional variety is supplied as long, self-supporting canes that will bear fruit in their first season! This delicious autumn fruiting variety, bred in East Malling, produces large, sweet fruits from August to October. Picking is also made easier by the upright, spine-free canes!Raspberry ‘Autumn Treasure’ is an excellent choice for the organic gardener due to its resistance to raspberry root rot. Tall primocanes are also suitable for smaller gardens, where they can be trained onto an obelisk or ‘wigwam’ in a large container. The Ministry of Agriculture inspected and certified all of our raspberries for pests and diseases. Before packing, the bare root plants are hand graded and carefully selected. 150cm in height (59″). 50cm spread (20″).Estimated time to cropping once planted: 4-8 months.Estimated time to best yields: 16-20 months. Grow autumn fruiting raspberry plants in a sunny position in any well drained soil. Prior to planting, incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost into the planting hole. Plant raspberry canes in rows allowing a distance of 60cm (24″) between plants. Firm in and water well. Canes should be pruned to 30cm (12″) immediately following planting to encourage more shoots to be produced. Autumn fruiting varieties do not require supports for their stems. They can also be grown in large containers of soil based compost such as John Innes no.3.
