Verbascum olympicum is a short-lived variety but is guaranteed to create a striking display in your cottage and wildlife gardens! This imposing perennial requires very little maintenance and boasts towering, spiked stems of sunshine yellow blooms which usually flowers in its third year before dying back and self-seeding. Mullein is ideal for filling gaps in summer borders and will cope well in poor soils where many other varieties wouldn’t.Height: 2m (6.6′). Spread: 60m (24″). Plant Mullein into well drained, neutral or alkaline soil in full sun. Verbascum will thrive on poor, gravelly soils.
