Pilke 80 is part of the simple yet ornamental Pilke Signature Collection designed by Tuukka Halonen. Crafted from birch plywood, the Pilke luminaires are an enchanting combination of technology and tradition: Halonen sought influences for the design from traditional Finnish wood crafts but utilized today’s manufacturing methods and materials. As a contemporary interpretation of shingle work, the lamps are characterised by a crystal-like pattern that filters the light pleasantly and casts beautiful shadows on the walls and ceiling. All Pilke lamps are designed and handcrafted in Finland.
