Tulip Berry Sorbet
This refreshing colour mix makes you think of juicy summer berries! Dark purple-black blooms blend with candy-pink and raspberry-red varieties. Tulip ‘Berry Sorbet’ offers a great mix of flower shapes, including showy fringed hybrids which add plenty of texture to your display. Ideal for growing in mass plantings in either beds and borders. Tulip flowers are wonderful for cutting and last for up to 10 days in a vase. Height: 45cm (18″). Spread: 15cm (6″).
Plant tulip bulbs in late summer or autumn. Tulips will grow well in any moist, well drained soil, except for particularly wet soils. Choose a sunny position that is sheltered from strong winds. When planting tulip bulbs avoid shallow planting as this may reduce the winter cold period that is essential for tulip bulbs to produce flowers in spring. Plant them at a depth of 15cm (6″) and at a distance of 13cm (5″) apart.
