Cyperus papyrus is a superb hardy perennial, that is a popular choice for exotic, bog and water gardens. From August to October, you will witness a flurry of firework-like brown flowers, that gracefully dangle from its slender, arching green mound of clump forming foliage. Happy to progress in semi shade, watch it thrive to a height of 200cm, along with a spread of 120cm. Plant Cyperus papyrus into consistently moist, boggy soil, or in the shallow margins of ponds to a maximum depth of 10cm (4″) below water level. Choose a position in sun or semi shade.
