Filipendula ulmaria is an elegant hardy perennial, that blooms from June until September. Much adored for its frothy abundance of white flowers, they not only emit a delicious scent, but also attract lots of pollinating insects! Contrasting wonderfully against its maroon stems and fresh green foliage, it makes an excellent addition to water gardens, damp meadows and moist borders. Happy to develop in dappled shade, watch it thrive to a great height of 90cm, along with a spread of 60cm. Plant Filipendula into any moist soil, which can be well-drained or slightly waterlogged. Position in full sun or partial shade.
