This fab Picea is much loved for its dwarf, pyramidal growing habit. Boasting grey-green, needle like foliage, you can count on this hardy shrub to remain resilient, reliable and vibrant all year round. Ideal for adding into borders, patio pots and alpine gardens, be sure to keep positioned in direct sunlight where it can develop in height to 1.2m, along with a spread of 1.5m. A beautiful Colorado Spruce forming a densely branched, slow growing evergreen conifer with a lovely pyramid shape. Picea pungens (Glauca Group) ‘Globosa’ boasts breathtaking, blue-grey needles all the year round, but is especially attrative in spring when the new growth emerges silvery-blue. Grow Picea plants in moist, but well-drained, acidic soil in full sun. Choose a position that is sheltered from cold, drying winds. Alternatively grow in large containers, using ericaceous (acidic) compost.
