Lily ‘Oriental Giant Flowering Collection’ is a fabulous mix that includes six of our most popular Lilium varieties. Blooming from July until September, you can count on this strong combo to shower your garden with huge, fragrant flowers in different shades of white and pink all summer long. They will elegantly top upright bushy growing habits of fresh green foliage and attract lots of wildlife wherever placed. Easy to care for, yet bold in flower power, be sure to incorporate into large patio containers, tropical and cottage themed landscapes. Happy to develop in full sun, watch them flourish to a maximum height of 180cm, along with a maximum spread growth of 40cm. Gasp at the giant flowers and inhale their sumptuous fragrance carried on the summer breeze! Oriental lilies prefer a moist, free draining, neutral to acid soil that is rich in organic matter. Prior to planting, add plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to the soil to give your lilies the best start. When growing lilies in containers, use a loam based compost such as John Innes No.2. Lily bulbs should be planted at a depth of approximately 3 times their own height and 15cm (6”) apart. Planting deeply helps to protect the bulb during particularly hot periods. Choose a sheltered, sunny position where lilies will grow with their heads in the sun and their roots in the shade.
