PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Said to be Beatrix Potter’s favourite tale she had written, The Tailor of Gloucester, features the story of a tailor who sends his cat Simpkin to buy food and red cherry coloured silk so he can complete a waistcoat commissioned by the mayor for a wedding. The tailor finds mice, the cat has imprisoned under teacups and sets them free. Sadly, the tailor falls ill and cannot complete the waistcoat, however, upon returning to his tailor shop, the waistcoat has been completed by the grateful mice he set free. Said to have been based on a true story, the tale was based on a John Prichard, a Gloucester tailor, who’s assistant finished the waistcoat during the night. Now depicted into a hanging basket bracket made from high quality steel and finished in a sleek midnight black finish, this hanging basket bracket features the silhouette of a mouse, sat upon a cotton thread, reading a book. Complete with an integrated hook and pre-drilled holes within the mounting bracket, this hanging basket can be installed with ease.
